Join QC Haunts for a special investigation at Playcrafters Barn Theatre.
The theatre's long history dates back to 1929 with a group who performed anywhere they could. In 1958, Dr. William Otis gave Playcrafters the dairy barn from the Deere Experimental Farm. The Barn (which had been working barn) had been built in 1914 and sat unused for 25 years on the Otis property on the south side of Moline. On October 5, 1960, Playcrafters performed its first production, Born Yesterday.
Join us as we search out the ghosts of the theater. Are they still performing? Are they directing behind the scenes? Let's find out...
Tickets are limited; 75% of the proceeds go directly to the Playcrafters Theatre. Ages14 and up only.
Payments can be made via:

Step into the past with QC Haunts & History Tour. You'll discover that dead folks do tell tales as we explore the streets and haunts of Rock Island and the Village of East Davenport. History will come to life during the time of gangsters and speakeasies when Rock Island, Ill., was vice lord John Looney's town, and prohibition didn't matter. Then head across the river to the Village of East Davenport to "meet" Civil War soldiers and other restless spirits from a bygone time.
QC Haunts & History is the ONLY ghost tour in the Illinois Quad Cities!
Private tours may be scheduled during other times. Email qchaunts@gmail.com or text 309-781-7083 for more information.

Minda Powers-Douglas started QC Haunts & History in 2019. She loves ghost stories and learning about history--she seldom misses a chance to go on ghost tours wherever she travels. She’s also written three books about cemeteries and has spoken about cemetery history and art throughout the Midwest and beyond. Minda has had a interest in ghosts and all things spooky since she was a kid--realizing later in life that her childhood imaginary friend was not so imaginary after all. Since then she’s had many paranormal experiences including a ghost in her old apartment, visits from dead loved ones, and hitchhiking ghosts. She is also a librarian and artist.
