It's a true story of love and romance that have lasted more than a lifetime.

Step into history with our ghost-filled tour.
History and ghosts are everywhere in Rock Island. Take this tour and learn about our downtown spirits.
A place with this much history is bound to be haunted by it
On a typical ghost tour, you'd be told about ghosts from the long-gone past. On our tours, you'll learn about the past and experience the hauntings happening now. Our tours usually feature one or more mediums who tell you what they're seeing and sensing now.
Plus, on our tours you'll find out:
- Who haunts the Rock Island Brewing Co. (RIBCO)
- About the ghosts who haunt our downtown theaters
- Why back in 1846 there were three men but four hangings
- About why a well-respected businessman took a forced dive out a fifth-story window
- Why so many ghosts think "it's fun to stay" at the Haunted YMCA (and those that know it's not)
- Why gangster John Looney's henchmen still hang around
Looney - The first organized crime lord
If you think all the big-time gangsters of Illinois were in Chicago, then you haven't heard about John Looney – a man even the notorious Al Capone thought was scary! In the early 1900s, Looney ruled an empire of booze, bribery, extortion, gambling, and prostitution ... and he was responsible for at least six murders. See Looney's old haunts and some actual haunts along the way – including the old YMCA building where paranormal activity is the norm.
Please note: There is adult content including tales of violence, drinking, and brothels. If it was a movie, it'd be PG-13. Tours are for ages 13+.
Meet-up location: 2nd Avenue and 19th Street (in front of El Patron El Patron Restaurant & Bar)
Tour length: 1.5 hours (approx.)
Tour route: 1.2 miles roundtrip
Cost per person: $20

Step into the past with QC Haunts & History Tour. You'll discover that dead folks do tell tales as we explore the streets and haunts of Rock Island. History will come to life during the time of gangsters and speakeasies when Rock Island, Ill., was vice lord John Looney's town, and prohibition didn't matter.
QC Haunts & History is the ONLY ghost tour in the Illinois Quad Cities!
Tours can be scheduled during other times. Email qchaunts@gmail.com or text 309-781-7083 for more information.
Kids like spooky stuff, too, so we added new kid friendly ghost tours this season with fun stories that weren’t too spooky. They were so successful that we’re adding them to our tour seasons AND private tours on-request from now on!
Greg Vine and Dez Darling-Vine (IAS Paranormal founders and members of QC Haunts) created HauntedMaps, a haunted locations app that helps you find haunted places near you. It's great for those interested in paranormal investigating but don't know where to start. The app is getting tons of downloads. Have you downloaded it yet? Available for iOS and Android.
Minda Powers-Douglas started QC Haunts & History in 2019. She loves ghosts and researching, s starting g a ghost tour only made sense. She’s also written three books on the subject of cemeteries and has spoken about cemetery history and art throughout the Midwest and beyond. Minda has had a interest in ghosts and all things spooky since she was a kid. In recent years she had the epiphany that her childhood imaginary friend was not so imaginary after all. Since then she’s had experiences a ghost in her old apartment, visits from loved ones, and hitchhiking ghosts. When she’s not busy heading up QC Haunts or giving walking tours, she loves learning more and more during investigations.
